Merz announced a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Berlin

Germany, together with France and the United Kingdom, plans to host a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Berlin this winter. According to Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the main goal will be to coordinate further aid to Ukraine.

 

The chancellor stated that Germany wants to organize the meeting together with France and the United Kingdom. It is scheduled to take place this winter in Berlin. “We want to hold a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Berlin this winter together with France and the United Kingdom, specifically to coordinate further assistance,” Merz said.

According to him, one of the main objectives of the meeting will be to agree on further support for Ukraine. This involves coordinating the actions of countries participating in the Coalition of the Willing that are ready to continue helping Ukraine. At the same time, Merz did not specify the exact date of the upcoming meeting. The chancellor also did not disclose exactly which issues are planned to be on the agenda.

Thus, it is currently known that the meeting is scheduled to take place this winter in Berlin with the participation of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. The parties have not yet announced specific dates or details of the upcoming talks. Friedrich Merz made this statement in Kyiv during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine will continue to respond to Russian strikes, particularly those targeting bridges. According to him, Russia is also attacking civilian infrastructure—warehouses, data centers, and mobile communication facilities. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine does not plan to leave such attacks unanswered.
