The Ministry of Defense announced a procurement of FPV drones based on their specifications

The Defense Procurement Agency will procure strike and strike-reconnaissance FPV drones for the Ukrainian military. The drones will be selected not by name or model, but based on specific tactical and technical characteristics.

In total, the procurement has been divided into 269 lots, which were grouped according to six parameters: frame size, presence of autopilot, communication type, camera type, video transmitter frequency, and signal receiver frequency.

The Ministry of Defense noted that these requirements were developed in collaboration with manufacturers, the General Staff, and, above all, the military personnel who directly use FPVs on the front lines.

The principle of supply diversification will also be applied during the tender. A single participant may be awarded a contract for no more than 50% of the total procurement volume.

The ministry explains that this will allow orders to be distributed among several manufacturers and reduce the risk of supply disruptions. At the same time, manufacturers will be able to compete for government contracts, and military units will be able to receive drones in accordance with their specific needs.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the Shablya MK19(M) remotely controlled combat module for use by the armed forces. It is equipped with a 40-mm MK19 automatic grenade launcher. 

Previously, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine standardized and approved the “Nebokray” mobile workshops for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The system is designed for the repair and maintenance of drones.
