A father and son were arrested in Bukovina in connection with the murder of a 21-year-old woman
A court has ordered pretrial detention for two residents of the Chernivtsi district who are suspected of murdering a 21-year-old woman.
This was reported by the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, on May 1, a quarrel broke out between a 23-year-old man and his wife over the woman’s intention to travel with their young child to visit her mother.

According to law enforcement, the man’s 47-year-old father intervened in the conflict and strangled the woman with a cable, while the son helped cover up the crime.
Investigators claim that after the murder, the woman’s body was taken to a plot of land adjacent to the house, where it was buried, and later attempts were made to make it appear as though she had gone missing.

Specifically, the man filed a missing person report with the police and sent messages to her phone asking her to return.
The woman’s body was discovered on May 8. According to the forensic report, the cause of death was mechanical asphyxiation.
The ceasefire announced for May 9–11 did not lead to a complete halt in hostilities on the front lines. Since the start of the day on May 10, the Russian occupation army has carried out 60 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, focusing its main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
Russian occupiers attacked a civilian vehicle with a drone in the Mykolaiv district during the ceasefire.
