In the Cherkasy region, a court ordered the demolition of illegally constructed houses near a reservoir
The Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor’s Office successfully sought a court order to demolish three structures built without authorization on the grounds of the “Teachers’ Base” in the village of Svidivok, Cherkasy District. These structures, with a total area of over 200 square meters, are located within the coastal protection zone of the Kremenchuk Reservoir.
The land plot, covering nearly 2 hectares, has been under the permanent use of the Department of Education and Humanitarian Policy of the Cherkasy City Council since 1995. It was allocated to serve as a recreation and health resort for participants in the educational process.
According to the prosecutor’s office, three individuals built vacation homes on this land without the necessary permits. Two of these homes have two stories each.
The Cherkasy District Court fully upheld the prosecutor’s office’s claims and ordered the owners to remove the obstacles to the use of the land plot by demolishing the illegal structures.
