A man shot at police officers in the Khmelnytskyi region: one person has been killed
In the Khmelnytskyi region, a man opened fire on police officers during a routine ID check. One officer was killed and another was wounded in the attack.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
The incident occurred on May 15 at approximately 2:35 p.m. in the village of Terlivka, Letychiv community, Khmelnytskyi district.
According to preliminary data, police officers stopped the driver to check his documents. It turned out that the man had been stripped of his right to drive vehicles by a court decision. During the interaction, he carried out an armed attack on the law enforcement officers.
After the shooting, the attacker fled the scene. Operational and investigative measures are currently underway to apprehend him.
A special police operation has been launched in the Khmelnytskyi district. The circumstances and motives of the attack are being investigated.
In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, an unknown person opened fire on people. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and others were injured.
