In the Ternopil region, a woman died after treating her basement with rodent poison
A 32-year-old woman died in the Ternopil region following a suspected poisoning by a rodenticide. Five other members of her family have been hospitalized, three of whom are in serious condition.
The family lived in one of the villages in the Kozlivska community and had previously been evacuated from the Donetsk region. According to preliminary reports, the woman had treated the basement of the house with rodenticide the day before.
All six family members who lived together were admitted to the hospital on August 23. The 32-year-old woman subsequently died.
Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the incident and identifying the substance that may have caused the poisoning. The exact cause of death will be determined by a forensic medical examination.
