NABU and SAP Conducted Investigations into the NSDC Sanctions Trading Case – Boryslav Bereza

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office conducted investigative actions regarding the new director of the Department of Recovery Policy, Viktor Steblynenko. This was reported by former People’s Deputy Boryslav Bereza.

The investigation concerns the possible receipt of an unlawful benefit in exchange for the National Security and Defense Council’s lifting of sanctions against business entities. According to available information, the alleged incidents occurred while the official was serving as head of the sanctions policy division at the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and are not related to his current activities at the ministry. The former lawmaker noted that Steblynenko is considered to be a close associate of Andriy Yermak and also criticized the practice of imposing sanctions based on decisions by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
