MP Stolar has been charged under five articles

Independent Member of Parliament Vadym Stolar has been notified that he is under investigation for violations of various sections of five articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Journalists have reported this, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.

According to the sources, the MP was notified of the charges last week. Among the crimes he is accused of are forming a criminal organization, unlawful appropriation of property, forgery of documents, and unauthorized interference with information systems.

Under certain articles, Stolar faces 7 to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. According to journalists, the most severe penalty carries a sentence of 10 to 15 years in prison, as the crime was allegedly committed under martial law.

Last week, NABU detectives and SAPO prosecutors also conducted searches at Vadym Stolar’s residence.

Incidentally, the High Anti-Corruption Court is determining a pretrial measure for former People’s Deputy Maksym Mykytas in a new case involving NABU and the SAP. 

Iryna Mudra has been detained and is currently undergoing investigative procedures at NABU.
