On September 2, the National Bank of Ukraine put into circulation a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 1 hryvnia, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the monetary reform in Ukraine.

The coin is made of 925-fine silver. It weighs 31.1 grams, and the mintage will be up to 5,000 pieces. Certain design elements are accented with spot gilding.

The obverse features a reproduction of the design of the current 1-hryvnia circulation coin from 2018. The reverse features the design of the first hryvnia coin, which was in circulation until 2018. The years “1996” and “2026” are also inscribed, symbolizing the 30th anniversary of the monetary reform.
