Illegal online casinos in Ukraine will be blocked within 24 hours
The Ukrainian government is stepping up its fight against illegal online gambling. The relevant measures are outlined in the approved State Policy Strategy on Gambling.
The state regulator PlayCity, in cooperation with the National Police, will conduct automated monitoring of illegal websites and advertisements. At least 90% of the identified domains of illegal casinos are planned to be blocked within 24 hours.

To this end, an automated data exchange between government agencies and internet service providers is scheduled to launch in 2027. This should enable the prompt blocking of identified illegal websites.
In addition, the government plans to identify VPNs and proxy servers used to circumvent blocks. Artificial intelligence will be used to detect hidden casino advertisements on streaming platforms and video-sharing sites.

A network of illegal online casinos with a turnover of over 141 million hryvnia was uncovered in Ukraine.
Earlier, the Ukrainian State Agency PlayCity initiated proceedings to revoke the licenses of the online casino Betking, which operates through the legal entity SLOTS U.A. LLC.
The PlayCity State Agency decided to revoke the licenses of two gambling operators following an investigation that revealed their ties to an aggressor country. As a result, the Favbet Casino/Favbet Poker and Billionaire brands are effectively disappearing from the Ukrainian market.
