Five power units at nuclear power plants in Ukraine have already been prepared for the heating season
In Ukraine, scheduled maintenance work has been completed on five nuclear power units, which are now ready for operation during the upcoming heating season.
"Scheduled maintenance involving nuclear fuel reloading has been completed at five nuclear power plant units, as well as repairs to two pumped-storage hydroelectric units, one hydroelectric power plant unit, and a mobile gas turbine unit. At the same time, repairs are continuing on other units and hydroelectric units," the statement said.
It is noted that Energoatom will ensure the most efficient operation of all nine nuclear power units located in territory controlled by the Ukrainian government this winter. At the same time, nuclear power plant operators have reduced the total duration of scheduled maintenance work by 21 days this year, providing the power grid with additional electricity generation.
