An official from the State Geocadastre is suspected of illicit enrichment amounting to 32 million hryvnias
Law enforcement officials have notified an official of the regional office of the State Geocadastre in Chernivtsi Oblast that he is suspected of illegal enrichment. According to the investigation, the value of the assets he acquired exceeds his legitimate income by nearly 32 million hryvnias.
According to the investigation, between 2021 and 2026, the official acquired assets worth over 38 million hryvnias. These include a residential house with an area of nearly 300 square meters in an upscale suburb of Chernivtsi worth over 25 million hryvnias, two properties in the village of Myhove with a combined value of over 7.5 million hryvnias, and four land plots worth 5.6 million hryvnias.
Law enforcement officials claim that the house and other properties were registered in the name of the official’s ex-wife, while the land plots were registered in his mother’s name. At the same time, according to the investigation, the official continued to live with his ex-wife as a family and to use this property.

According to the prosecutor’s office’s calculations, the combined official income of the official, his ex-wife, and his mother during this period amounted to over 6.5 million hryvnias, while the value of the identified assets exceeded 38 million hryvnias.

The court imposed a bail of 2.6 million hryvnias on the suspect.
