The proliferation of call centers in Ukraine may be a Russian sabotage operation, says the director of NABU
The proliferation of fraudulent call centers in Ukraine appears to be a Russian sabotage operation, said NABU Director Semen Kryvonos.
He noted that tens of thousands of young people are involved in the operations of these fraudulent call centers in Ukraine, working to defraud not Russians, but citizens of Ukraine’s partner countries. And law enforcement agencies are providing them with protection from above. All of this appears to be a planned sabotage operation.
This was discussed at a briefing on September 14 attended by NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) Head Oleksandr Klymenko.
The Anti-Corruption Center stated that Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko left Ukraine after signing the notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. The Anti-Corruption Center claims that this may have been done in exchange for permission to leave the country.
Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko stated that he is abroad on an official business trip.
The Anti-Corruption Center stated that Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko allegedly left Ukraine after signing the notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. The Anti-Corruption Center claims that this may have been done in exchange for the opportunity to leave the country.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have denied Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko’s statements regarding the alleged notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and offers of immunity.
