The British Prime Minister has pledged 100% support for Ukraine despite threats from Russia

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham stated that London will continue to fully support Ukraine in its war against Russia, despite threats from Moscow.

According to him, the United Kingdom will not withdraw its support for Ukraine in response to Russia’s warnings about possible “consequences” of supplying drones to Kyiv.

Burnham emphasized that London intends to remain on Ukraine’s side going forward.

“We are not just friends in good times. We will stand with Ukraine in times of trouble, and that will not change,” the British prime minister said.

Ukraine is actively using drones to carry out long-range strikes against Russian oil refineries and logistics facilities. At the same time, the British Ministry of Defense has not confirmed whether drones supplied by the United Kingdom were used in such attacks.

In June, London announced plans to transfer 150,000 drones to Ukraine by the end of 2026 as part of a 752 million pound funding package.

Britain has evacuated some embassy staff from Iran due to security threats.

The British government stated that the seizure of the oil tanker MT Smyrtos—which a BBC report referred to as a vessel of Russia’s “shadow fleet”—was carried out in accordance with international law. The statement came after Vladimir Putin, president of Russia—the aggressor state—threatened to respond with similar actions.
