The family of the slain Parubiy is seeking 15 million hryvnias in compensation for emotional distress

The family of the late Andriy Parubiy has filed a civil lawsuit seeking 15 million hryvnias in compensation for emotional distress.

The claim was announced during a hearing at the Frankivsk District Court of Lviv in the case regarding his murder.

According to the family’s lawyer, the amount is justified by analogy with the payments provided for fallen soldiers.

The plaintiffs are also asking the court to seize any financial assistance the defendant may receive in connection with the death of his son, a military serviceman.

This refers to 50% of a one-time payment that may be transferred to the suspect.

The court extended the defendant’s pretrial detention—60 days without the right to bail.

As a reminder, the SBU referred the case of Andriy Parubiy’s murder to court.

On August 30, 2025, the National Police reported that Andriy Parubiy, a well-known Ukrainian public and political figure, had been killed in Lviv.
