Forecasters have released the weather forecast for Ukraine for April 2026
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has released a forecast for the second month of spring, according to which temperatures and precipitation will remain within the climatic norm.
April 2026 promises to be moderately warm, though with noticeable temperature fluctuations between day and night.
The average monthly air temperature is expected to be between +8° and +11°, which is typical for this period. In the mountainous regions of the Carpathians, it will traditionally be cooler—thermometers will show readings ranging from +5° to +7°.
As for humidity, forecasters predict 30–50 mm of precipitation, and in the Carpathian region, this figure will reach 60–90 mm.
This represents about 80–120% of the norm, indicating the absence of abnormal droughts or prolonged downpours.
The Wisemeteo website notes that spring 2026 continues to delight Ukrainians with relatively mild weather. However, a brief cold snap is possible from April 8 to 11, which will force people to dig out their warmer clothes again.
For those hoping for cloudless skies, forecasters advise patience, as no completely sunny days are expected in April.
The month will be characterized by variable cloudiness and frequent but non-hazardous rains throughout the country.
Forecaster Natalka Didenko warned that the period of unusually high temperatures observed at the end of March is coming to an end.
The abnormal warmth is being replaced by a gradual drop in temperatures to typical spring levels.
As a reminder, on Wednesday, April 1, cloudy weather with local showers is expected in Ukraine; moderate precipitation and thunderstorms are possible in the western regions.
After a cold winter, Ukrainians are looking forward to spring warmth, but April will bring not only sunshine but also weather “swings.”
On Tuesday, March 31, wet and unstable weather is expected in Ukraine—rain will fall across virtually the entire country. These weather conditions are caused by the influence of a cyclone.
