A court has ordered the arrest of a Kyiv resident who stabbed a medical examiner to death
A 31-year-old Kyiv resident suspected of attacking a doctor on the military medical commission has been ordered to be held in custody without the right to bail. According to the investigation, the man stabbed the victim 17 times.
According to investigators, the attack occurred while the doctor was performing her official duties.
After his arrest, the man was notified of the charges against him, and the court granted the prosecution’s motion for the most severe pretrial measure.
A pretrial investigation is currently underway, and law enforcement officials are establishing all the circumstances and motives behind the crime.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that an assassination attempt was made on July 31 against Igor Obolenskyi, commander of the “Charter” brigade.
According to the head of state, the attacker and his accomplice have already been detained. The president thanked law enforcement for their prompt response and noted that the necessary investigative measures are underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
The day before, in Kyiv, a 31-year-old man was notified that he was suspected of murdering a 55-year-old female doctor on the military medical commission. According to the investigation, he inflicted approximately 17 stab wounds on the woman after learning that he had been deemed fit for military service.
In Kyiv’s Podilskyi district, patrol officers detained a 17-year-old youth who had threatened his family with a knife and, during the arrest, stabbed one of the officers. The injured officer was hospitalized, and the assailant was taken into custody.
