Electricity prices in Ukraine have fallen to their lowest level in more than two years
The weighted average price of electricity on the “day-ahead” market (DAM) as of July 11, 2026, fell to 1,992 UAH/MWh. This is the lowest level since April 2024.
The main reason for this decline was a significant reduction in electricity demand.
According to analysts’ estimates, compared to the previous day, demand in the market fell by 30%, while supply decreased by only 5%. This imbalance between supply and demand contributed to a further drop in the price of electricity.
In addition, the base load index also fell to its lowest level since April 2024, standing at 1,914 UAH/MWh.
The decline in prices on the “day-ahead” market indicates a temporary weakening of demand for electricity, which directly influenced the formation of the resource’s market price.
This is evidenced by data from the “Market Operator,” which was analyzed by ExPro.
As a reminder, Ukrainians should conserve electricity during certain hours due to the heavy load on the power grid.
