In Chernihiv, a woman attempted to give soldiers a burger laced with explosives; she was detained
In Chernihiv, law enforcement officers detained a woman who was attempting to pass a homemade explosive device—disguised as a “McDonald’s” burger—to Ukrainian servicemen.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the woman was detained by SBU officers in cooperation with the National Police and the prosecutor’s office. She attempted to hand over the explosive device at one of the checkpoints in Chernihiv.
Currently, SBU investigators, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, are conducting the necessary investigative and procedural actions. The issue of formally notifying the detainee of the charges against her is also being resolved.

The security service noted that additional details of the case will be released at a later date.
This was reported on July 24 on Facebook by the Security Service of Ukraine’s Office in Chernihiv Oblast.
