In Dnipro, a man raped and killed an 11-year-old boy
In Dnipro, law enforcement officers detained a 40-year-old man suspected of being involved in the death of an 11-year-old child. The boy was strangled and, likely, raped.
This was reported by the National Police.
On May 27, the police received a report that an 11-year-old boy had gone missing after leaving to go for a walk and failing to return home. It later emerged that the day before, he had called his grandmother and told her he would be staying overnight at a friend’s house, but he never arrived.
During the search, police identified the boy’s social circle and made contact with a 40-year-old man with a criminal record who had previously been involved in criminal proceedings.
Law enforcement officers later discovered the boy’s body in an abandoned building. The child’s hands were tied behind his back. The suspect has been detained.
He is charged with intentional murder, and the investigation is ongoing.

A Kyiv court sentenced a Kyiv resident who fatally stabbed his friend with a knife during a party. According to police, the conflict between the men arose from a dispute over loud music. The court, having considered the evidence from the investigation, handed down a sentence of 11 years in prison.
