Representatives from the United States, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany are currently in Kyiv. Kirill Budanov, head of the Office of the President, said that a busy day and important talks lie ahead, the main goal of which is to bring about a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.

“I am pleased to welcome the American delegation led by Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Kyiv. We have a busy day ahead and important talks,” Budanov wrote on Telegram. At the same time, the American delegation did not arrive in Kyiv alone. According to Budanov, representatives from France, the United Kingdom, and Germany are also in the capital. “Representatives of our European partners—France, the United Kingdom, and Germany—are also in Kyiv,” the head of the Presidential Office said.
He added that all parties are working to achieve peace for Ukraine. “We are all working together to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine,” Budanov noted. Thus, talks are currently underway in Kyiv involving representatives from the U.S. and three leading European nations. This is taking place against the backdrop of intensified negotiations regarding a possible end to Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The presence of the American delegation is drawing particular attention. For Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, this is their first visit to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the Ukrainian side was preparing for a meeting with representatives of the U.S. president. He emphasized that Ukraine wants to hold the most constructive and substantive discussion possible.
Zelenskyy also stated that the Ukrainian negotiating team has already prepared Kyiv’s position. According to him, Ukraine is interested in ending the war, but this requires not only agreements to cease hostilities but also reliable security guarantees. The visit of U.S. representatives to Kyiv is taking place precisely in this context. The parties are set to discuss next steps and possible paths toward ending the war.
