A 22-year-old woman was arrested in Netishyn with a package of drugs
In Netishyn, police detained a 22-year-old woman after she received a package in the mail. The incident occurred in Netishyn, Khmelnytskyi Oblast. Police detained the 22-year-old woman after she received a package in the mail. During a cursory inspection, law enforcement officers found a package containing a substance that appeared to be cannabis. The total weight of the seized substance was approximately 500 grams.
The package was seized and sent for analysis to determine the exact composition of the substance and its properties. According to the investigation, the woman ordered the drugs online. Law enforcement officials believe she did so not for personal use but for the purpose of further distribution.
The woman was taken into custody
Police detained the suspect in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Following her detention, investigators initiated the necessary procedural actions. For the duration of the investigation, the court ordered that the woman be held in custody as a preventive measure. Investigators from Police Station No. 2 of the Shepetivka District Police Department, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, informed her of the charges against her.
This relates to Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for the illegal acquisition and possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute. The pretrial investigation is currently ongoing. Law enforcement officials are establishing all the circumstances of the case and the origin of the seized substance.
It is important to note that at this stage, the woman has the status of a suspect. Her guilt must be established by a court. If forensic analysis confirms that the seized substance is a narcotic, the investigation will be able to use this finding as evidence in the criminal proceedings.
