Silpo and Fora have issued a statement to Ukrainians regarding disruptions in food supplies
The “Silpo” and “Fora” supermarket chains, which are part of the Fozzy Group, have experienced temporary disruptions in the supply of goods following the Russian strike on warehouse and logistics infrastructure in the Kyiv region on August 5.
In some stores, shoppers have noticed empty shelves and a reduced selection of products.
According to shoppers, the product selection has noticeably decreased in some stores. In particular, in Vinnytsia, some shelves are temporarily out of meat, vegetables, and fruit.
Photos of notices posted in Silpo stores are also circulating on social media. In these notices, the company warns customers about possible delays in the delivery of certain goods.
“Due to the consequences of the enemy’s attack on our logistics infrastructure, some products require more time for delivery,” the notice states.
The company emphasizes that the situation is temporary and that store inventory will gradually be restored.
Representatives of the “Fora” chain reported that the Russian attack destroyed key warehouses containing products, part of their inventory, machinery, and equipment.
As a result, some products that shoppers are accustomed to may be temporarily out of stock.
“But we’re still operating. Every day, we’re looking for new solutions, restoring supplies, and doing everything possible to ensure that essential items are readily available and that familiar products return to stores as quickly as possible,” Fora noted.
At the same time, the company assured that stores continue to operate as usual.
In Brovary, shoppers also reported discounts on so-called “rescued products”—items that were saved after the attack.
Fozzy Group expects that once logistics are restored, product deliveries to stores will gradually return to normal.
The Russian strike on the logistics infrastructure took place on August 5. The attack caused fires at two distribution centers belonging to the Silpo chain.
According to the company, six of its employees were killed.
Fozzy Group expressed its condolences to the families and friends of the victims and stated that it is in constant contact with the victims’ loved ones and is ready to provide them with the necessary assistance.

The State Property Fund of Ukraine has already begun inspecting the warehouse facilities of state-owned enterprises to find space for companies that have lost their logistics facilities due to Russian attacks. Preliminary estimates suggest several hundred thousand square meters, but how much of this space can actually be made available to businesses will become clear after on-site inspections.
On the night of July 19, Russian troops launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of the attack. Damage and fires were reported in five districts of the capital.
Throughout the day on July 17, Russian forces launched strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were injured in the shelling; among the injured were five children.
