In Vinnytsia, an electric blanket caused a fire in a pensioner's home

In Vinnytsia, an electric blanket caught fire in the bed of an 83-year-old woman due to a short circuit, resulting in the room being gutted.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

According to rescue workers, relatives heard the woman’s screams, quickly carried her out of the smoke-filled room, and called emergency services.

In addition, another incident occurred in Bershad: a 66-year-old man was lighting a stove with a flammable substance, which caused a fire. He tried to extinguish the fire on his own but suffered burns and was hospitalized.

A gas explosion also occurred in a residential building in Lviv, resulting in casualties.

As a reminder, a gas explosion occurred in a high-rise building in Khmelnytskyi. During rescue operations, the bodies of two people were found—a woman born in 1973 and a man born in 1983. Both lived in the building, which sustained significant damage.
