Ukrainians Can Expect Higher Prices for Imported Medicines

Prices for imported medications in Ukraine are expected to rise gradually due to fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate, rising fuel costs, and increased shipping expenses. This was announced by Oleksandr Komarida, chairman of the board of the European Pharmaceutical Association.

According to him, pharmaceutical companies will try to keep price increases in check, but external economic factors will still affect the final cost of medications. At the same time, the expert emphasized that no shortages or global disruptions in the supply of medicines are expected, and virtually all domestic manufacturers and their products are interchangeable.

The network of municipal pharmacies in Kyiv has seen a decrease in the availability of certain imported medicines and drugs used to treat chronic diseases. This was reported by the municipal enterprise “Pharmacy.”

During their attack on Kyiv on September 23, Russian troops struck the “Darnitsa” pharmaceutical plant. The company confirmed the strike but has not yet disclosed the exact extent of the damage sustained by the facility. At the same time, it is known that there were no fatalities among the employees.
