How the gabions will work

“In the event of Russian drone strikes on the gas station premises, these structures will be able to contain debris within the perimeter and help reduce the external impact zone,” the company explained. Thus, the main goal of this innovation is not to protect the gas station itself from any strike, but to reduce the danger to people and vehicles in the surrounding area.

Ukrnafta stated that the safety of customers and employees remains the company’s top priority. Bogdan Kukura, Chairman of the Board of JSC Ukrnafta, emphasized that the company is working to minimize the potential consequences of Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure.
“People’s safety is the most important thing. It is the top priority for UKRNAFTA. That is why the company is doing everything it can to protect customers and staff from the consequences of Russian airstrikes on civilian infrastructure,” Kukura said. The company also reported that it is preparing additional measures to strengthen security at its facilities. Ukrnafta plans to provide details on these measures at a later date.
What Happens at Gas Stations During an Air Raid Alert
Ukrnafta separately reiterated the rules of conduct during an air raid alert. If an air raid alert is declared, UKRNAFTA gas stations cease operations regardless of the threat level. Employees and customers must leave the gas station premises and move to a safer location.
