Ukrposhta has started printing customers' personal information on receipts
Starting August 1, Ukrposhta will print payers’ personal data on paper receipts for utility and other payments. This change was implemented in accordance with the requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine.
From now on, receipts will include the payer’s full name, their taxpayer identification number (RNOKPP), and the full bank card number in cases of card payments or card reloads.
The company emphasized that these requirements are stipulated by NBU resolutions and are mandatory for all financial service providers, including banks and postal operators.
At the same time, “Ukrposhta” stated that it does not support the new rules, as it considers them to be in conflict with international standards for the protection of personal data. The company reported that it has already appealed to the National Bank, the government, the Verkhovna Rada, and the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights with a proposal to review this decision.
Ukrposhta also clarified that customers need to resubmit their RNOKPP only if their data is not yet in the system. If the information has already been entered when receiving other services, there is no need to resubmit it.
For customers who do not need paper receipts, the company recommends disposing of them at home, as information on all payments is stored electronically.

As a reminder, “Ukrposhta” continues to install in-branch parcel lockers at its offices. They are currently operational in 15 regions of Ukraine and allow most customers to receive packages without waiting in the general line.
Ukrposhta has suspended operations at its last brick-and-mortar branch in the frontline town of Druzhkivka in Donetsk Oblast due to constant Russian shelling and the threat to employees and local residents.
