Ukrposhta will install 1,000 street-based mail kiosks in cities
JSC "Ukrposhta," in partnership with the Ukrainian company "Modern-Expo," is rolling out a network of 1,000 new street-based parcel lockers. The kiosks will initially be installed in Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Dnipro, and other major cities.
A distinctive feature of the design is the inclusion of mailboxes, which will allow users not only to receive packages but also to send letters. At the same time, the operator is setting up 600 express pickup lockers directly in its branches.
The company has already begun accepting requests for equipment installation from homeowners’ associations, property management companies, residential complexes, and private businesses (coffee shops, gas stations, pharmacies). The main requirements for the location are that there be no brick-and-mortar branch nearby, a solid surface, a 220 V power connection, and stable mobile coverage. The delivery fee to a parcel locker remains at 45 UAH, with a seven-day storage period for the shipment.
This was announced by the company’s CEO, Ihor Smilianskyi.
As a reminder, Ukrposhta is eliminating the 45 hryvnia surcharge for delivery to rural areas via mobile branches. At the same time, the company is raising its courier delivery rates.
Ukrposhta has suspended operations at its last stationary branch in the frontline town of Druzhkivka in Donetsk Oblast due to constant Russian shelling and the threat to employees and local residents.
