Strawberry prices have dropped sharply in Ukraine; how much do they cost?
This week, wholesale prices for strawberries from local farms in Ukraine began to decline due to an increase in supply from producers in the western regions. The rise in market volumes has led to a noticeable drop in prices, making strawberries more affordable for consumers.

Consumer demand for strawberries remains subdued, and in a competitive market, growers are forced to gradually lower prices for this perishable product.
A week ago, farmers refused to sell greenhouse strawberries for less than 200–260 UAH/kg, but at the start of this week, when southern and western regions began harvesting these berries from plastic-covered greenhouses, wholesale prices immediately dropped by 14%—to 170–230 UAH/kg.
However, analysts note that these berries are currently being sold in Ukraine at an average price 32% higher than during the same period last year.
The supply of local strawberries on the Ukrainian market has not yet reached peak levels, and a more widespread harvest is expected as early as the beginning of next month.
