The High Anti-Corruption Court sentenced "Servant of the People" MP Marchenko to prison
The High Anti-Corruption Court has handed down a guilty verdict against Lyudmyla Marchenko, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People party, and her assistant, Anastasia Kolesnik. The court sentenced both to two years in prison and barred them from holding certain public offices for three years.
The verdict was handed down by a panel of judges consisting of Natalia Movchan, Olga Salandyak, and Volodymyr Voronko.
The trial proceeded in full compliance with procedural requirements, and during the hearing, all participants were heard and the case materials were reviewed.
Prior to this, an investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court extended until May 13 the term of the procedural obligations imposed on People’s Deputy and leader of the “Batkivshchyna” faction, Yulia Tymoshenko.
As a reminder, the court is considering Tymoshenko’s appeal against the seizure of her property.
The court also lifted the seizure of part of Yulia Tymoshenko’s and her husband’s property.
