Video: Russians Sent a Drone Toward Passengers on an Evacuated Commuter Train
On August 23, Russian forces attacked a train station in the Kharkiv region with a drone while a passenger train evacuating people was stopped there. Two women were killed in the strike, and five other people were injured.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
An enemy UAV struck a freight car near a platform in the Lozivsky District. At that moment, an electric train was nearby, having stopped to evacuate passengers.
Two women were killed in the strike. Five other people sustained injuries of varying severity.
Among the injured is an 11-year-old girl, who is in critical condition. All of the injured are currently receiving the necessary medical care.
The report notes that a freight car, the electric train’s cars, the platform, and the overhead contact line were damaged.
As a reminder, on August 23, Russian terrorist forces attacked Ukraine’s railway infrastructure five times. One person was killed and four others were injured as a result of the strikes.
On August 23, Russian forces attacked the locomotive of passenger train No. 147, traveling from Zhytomyr to Odesa, with a jet-powered drone. The train was stopped and passengers evacuated before the strike, so neither passengers nor railway workers were harmed.
Over the past day, Russian troops struck Kharkiv and settlements in the region with missiles, guided aerial bombs, and drones. Sixteen people were injured in the attacks, including a 15-year-old boy.
