Video: Smiliansky Challenges the NBU's Decision in Court and Vows to Ruin Pyshny's Reputation

Ihor Smiliansky announced that he has filed a lawsuit against the National Bank of Ukraine. The head of “Ukrposhta” wants to overturn the decision to dismiss him through the courts.

Smiliansky’s attorneys filed the complaint on his behalf this week with the Kyiv District Administrative Court.

“I am confident in my position and ready to prove it in court. I consider the decision regarding me to be unlawful and biased. And I am very eager to hear the arguments as to why the head of Ukrposhta was treated in a way that was not applied to the heads of other operating banks and financial institutions, even after fines many times greater than those imposed on Ukrposhta, and billions of hryvnias in cash withdrawals proven by the NBU itself,” Smiliansky wrote.

In his post, he also promised to “destroy what remains of the reputation” of NBU Governor Andriy Pyshnyy through legal action.
