Zelenskyy announced a new position for Ukraine's ambassador to Poland
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, may be appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The head of state made this announcement on August 3 during a meeting of Ukrainian ambassadors in Kyiv.
According to the president, this decision is being considered as part of efforts to strengthen the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“An assessment of the ambassadors’ capabilities, with a view to strengthening the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has led Andriy Ivanovych and me to conclude that you, too, could certainly serve as deputy minister,” Zelenskyy said, addressing Vasyl Bodnar.
In this way, the president effectively announced possible personnel changes in the diplomatic corps; however, no official appointment or date for its approval has been reported yet.

As a reminder, Zelenskyy confirmed the appointment of Umerov as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
Zelenskyy appointed Igor Klymenko as secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Przemysław Czarnek, deputy chairman of the Polish opposition party “Law and Justice,” criticized the government following an attack on a 30-year-old Polish woman in Wrocław. An 18-year-old Ukrainian citizen has been detained in connection with the case and is suspected of attempted murder.
