Zelenskyy Announced the First Summit of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Coalition
Ukraine is working to organize the first meeting of the countries set to join the so-called anti-ballistic missile coalition. The goal is for partners to cooperate in the creation and development of ballistic missile defense systems.
According to the head of state, during negotiations with international partners, Ukraine has already begun preparing the format for the upcoming meeting. The parties are currently working to set a date for the talks. “The anti-ballistic coalition is an organizationally complex meeting that we are working on, and we are already seeing the first results today. We are currently working with our partners to set a date for the meeting in this format,” Zelenskyy said.
The president did not specify which countries would participate in the first meeting. At the same time, his remarks suggest that the talks may take place at the level of heads of state. The idea behind the anti-ballistic coalition is for partners to work together to strengthen defenses against missile threats and develop relevant technologies.
Ukraine regularly emphasizes the need to strengthen air and missile defense in response to Russia’s ongoing missile attacks on cities and critical infrastructure. This new format of cooperation is intended to be one of the ways to strengthen security not only for Ukraine but also for European countries. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement ahead of his meeting with the German chancellor in Ankara.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of unmanned technologies on the sidelines of the NATO summit.
