Zelenskyy gave Lukashenko a week to dismantle Russian relay stations

Zelenskyy gave Lukashenko a week to dismantle Russian relay stations

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that there are relay stations located on Belarusian territory which, according to him, are helping Russian drones attack Ukraine. He publicly called on Alexander Lukashenko to dismantle this infrastructure within a week; otherwise, as the president said, Ukraine will act on its own.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sharply criticized Alexander Lukashenko’s statements about his alleged unwillingness to drag Belarus into the war, emphasizing that the reality, in his view, contradicts these words due to the presence on Belarusian territory of infrastructure used in Russian attacks.

According to Zelenskyy, this refers to relay towers and equipment located along the Ukrainian border, which, he claims, helps guide strikes against civilian targets. He stressed that this situation has persisted since the first days of the full-scale war and has already led to civilian casualties. “When Mr. Lukashenko says he doesn’t want to be dragged into the war, he must be honest, at least with his own people… The missiles were fired from Belarus, from his country,” Zelenskyy stated during a joint press conference with the president of Honduras.

The President of Ukraine emphasized that, in his view, Lukashenko has the ability to dismantle the relevant technical equipment on his own, and called a one-week deadline sufficient for such actions. “I think a week will be enough for him to do this… If he doesn’t do it, we will,” Zelenskyy said, without specifying the details of possible actions.

Separately, the head of state stated that Belarus, in his words, plays a significant role in supplying resources to the Russian army—particularly petroleum products—and called on Minsk to reconsider this policy, emphasizing its impact on the course of the war. “Can this be stopped? I am confident that he has the power to do so,” added the Ukrainian president, summarizing his position on Belarus’s role in the war.

Belarus has promised to hold accountable anyone who may be involved in the attack on a bus carrying a children’s soccer team in the Bryansk region.

Earlier, partisans from the “ATESH” movement carried out a successful sabotage operation behind enemy lines in Russia’s Bryansk region, disrupting the Russian military’s logistics.
