Zelenskyy Congratulated Military Personnel on Armed Forces of Ukraine Army Aviation Day
On Friday, July 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the military personnel with a message of congratulations on the occasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ground Forces Army Aviation Day. The head of state emphasized that during this full-scale war, Army Aviation soldiers have already destroyed thousands of enemy targets and continue to effectively carry out combat missions.
“Today is a day to honor the soldiers who carry out extremely difficult and dangerous work every day. They support our units on the front lines, evacuate the wounded, and strike at the enemy. Today, Army Aviation is also carrying out another extremely important mission. Modernized Ukrainian helicopters have become an effective part of our air defense against Russian drones. Army aviation soldiers have already shot down thousands of enemy targets. And this is a unique achievement for Ukraine,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President thanked “every soldier of the Army Aviation for their service, for every flight and every mission completed, and for protecting our people.”
“We will always remember and be grateful to all Army Aviation soldiers who defended Ukraine and gave the most precious thing in this struggle—their lives. Eternal honor to the heroes. Happy Army Aviation Day to the Ukrainian Ground Forces!” the head of state concluded.

Every year on July 3, Ukraine celebrates Army Aviation Day of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a new professional military holiday that was officially established by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 17/2025 dated January 8, 2025.
Syrsky congratulated the aviation troops on their professional holiday and thanked them for defending Ukraine.
