Zelenskyy praised the results of the Carpathian Eight summit
Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted the significant economic potential of the agreements reached during the Carpathian Eight summit. According to him, the opportunities involved amount to billions of euros.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The head of state emphasized that it was during the first Carpathian Eight summit that the Carpathian Integration Initiative was successfully launched.
“May the Carpathian macro-region of the EU remain strong. And may this format support us on our path to joining the European Union. I thank all the leaders of the C8 countries, business representatives, and our Carpathian communities for their significant presence, promising projects, and agreements. The potential is billions of euros and mutual growth,” Zelenskyy added.
He also reminded his allies that it is extremely important to implement everything that is currently planned.
In addition, the president promised to mobilize additional resources and capabilities to support cross-border cooperation among communities.
“And this has its own unique characteristics here in the Carpathians: mountain communities, and therefore mountain roads, with their own social challenges and environmental challenges,” Zelenskyy explained.
In his view, many of these issues can only be resolved in cooperation with neighboring countries.
As a reminder, the Russian side hopes to hold a meeting between the foreign ministers of Russia and the U.S. in New York during the UN General Assembly.
U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation on September 8 that lasted exactly one hour. The parties discussed the results of the trip by U.S. President’s Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Kyiv and Moscow, assessing the visit positively and agreeing to continue working in this direction.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks in Kyiv with U.S. presidential representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
