152 combat clashes recorded on the frontline over the past day — General Staff
During 2 March, a total of 152 combat clashes with Russian occupying forces were recorded along the frontline, with the highest level of enemy activity observed on the Huliaipole axis.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders repelled 40 enemy attacks in that sector alone.
On the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, the situation remains tense due to constant shelling. Over the past day, the enemy carried out four air strikes using nine guided aerial bombs and conducted 137 shelling attacks, seven of them involving multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
On the Southern Slobozhanskyi axis, enemy units made one attempt to break through defensive lines near Vovchanski Khutory.
Meanwhile, on the Kupiansk and Kramatorsk axes, the occupiers did not conduct offensive operations, focusing instead on holding their positions.
The Lyman axis saw eight attempts by the enemy to penetrate Ukrainian defences. The attacks were directed towards the settlements of Stavky, Drobysheve and Lyman, as well as near Serednie.
On the Sloviansk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 attempts by the occupiers to advance. Fighting took place in the areas of Platonivka, Zakytne and Riznykivka, and towards Ozerne.
The Kostiantynivka axis also remains a hotspot, with the enemy carrying out 13 attacks. Assault operations were recorded near Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Oleksandro-Shultyne and Sofiivka, and towards Illinivka, Novopavlivka and Kostiantynivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the Defence Forces repelled 23 assault actions by the aggressor. Fighting occurred near Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne and Molodetske, and towards the settlements of Novopavlivka and Shevchenko.
The most difficult situation developed on the Huliaipole axis, where 40 enemy attacks were recorded. The enemy launched assaults near Huliaipole and Zelene, and towards Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Sviatopetrivka, Huliaipilske and Staroukrainka.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, the enemy attacked six times near Ternove, Kalynivske and Zlahoda. On the Orikhiv axis, two combat engagements took place near Plavni and Stepnohirsk.
On the Prydniprovske axis, the enemy did not conduct active operations over the past day, nor did it on the Volyn and Polissia axes. No signs of the formation of new offensive groupings were detected in the north.
It was previously reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a command post and warehouses of Russian occupying forces in Belgorod and in the temporarily occupied territories.
Russian sources have also complained about strikes by Ukrainian HX-2 drones on the frontline.
