National Guard soldiers received their first payments for the occupiers' destroyed equipment

Servicemen of the 1st Corps of the Ukrainian National Guard “Azov” and other National Guard brigades have begun receiving monetary compensation for the destruction and capture of equipment belonging to the Russian occupation forces.

Previously, National Guard soldiers were effectively denied the opportunity to receive such payments, unlike their counterparts in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Following public appeals by military leadership to the government, the situation was resolved at the highest level thanks to relevant decisions by government officials and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

Currently, the regulatory procedure for calculating these payments has been fully streamlined, and the first financial payments to National Guard soldiers have already been successfully made. Sviatoslav Palamar emphasized that this step is extremely important, as it demonstrates the restoration of justice, respect for the fighters, and the state’s equal treatment of all defenders of Ukraine, regardless of their departmental affiliation.

Svyatoslav “Kalina” Palamar, deputy commander of the Azov Corps, announced this on his Facebook page.

A bill on demobilization and new payments to military personnel has been introduced in the Verkhovna Rada.

Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that soldiers who have been defending their homeland since the first day of the war deserve to be relieved of duty. Meanwhile, others need to know where they will be deployed, for how long, and must be confident that they will be trained and provided with everything they need.
