According to him, the speed of the “Shahed” and “Banderole” drones is not the main problem for air defense forces, since the military regularly trains to engage much faster targets, such as cruise missiles.
“Speed isn’t the biggest problem when dealing with ‘Shahed’ drones,” the soldier explained.
At the same time, the Russians may use additional combat elements, such as cluster munitions or additional warheads. Currently, such cases are not widespread, but we need to be prepared for them.
The soldier noted that for air defense, the best outcome is the complete destruction of the target in the air. In that case, mostly debris falls to the ground, reducing the risk of damage and injuries.
However, debris from downed targets also poses a danger. Therefore, Yevhen urged people not to ignore air raid alerts and to follow safety guidelines.
