Near the border with Moldova, a Russian shell struck a passenger bus
A shell struck a passenger bus near the “Palanka” border crossing between Ukraine and Moldova. The bus was a scheduled service that was hit not far from the border crossing.
According to police, a border guard was injured. The bus and the control booth were also damaged.
Moldovan officials state that the incident occurred as a result of Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. The border crossing is currently closed.

State Border Service of Ukraine spokesperson Andriy Demchenko confirmed in a comment to RBC-Ukraine that the checkpoint is closed.
“Border crossing operations in this direction are currently suspended,” he said.
As a reminder, Moldova summoned the Russian ambassador over falling debris from drones and missiles.
On the morning of September 30, a drone flew through Moldovan airspace. It subsequently crashed and exploded near the village of Girbovets in the Anenii Noi district.
Earlier, Russian drones again entered the airspace of Romania and Moldova.
A Russian military helicopter violated Poland’s airspace.
