Budanov called the killing of Ukrainian children a carefully planned genocide
Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, issued an official statement on the Day of Remembrance for Children Who Died as a Result of the Russian Federation’s Armed Aggression Against Our Country.
The head of the office emphasized that the war crimes committed by the Russian occupiers are not random attacks, but rather a systematic and premeditated campaign.
According to him, the Kremlin’s actions are aimed at completely erasing Ukrainian history and national memory and destroying the country’s gene pool.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine released shocking official statistics on the crimes committed by the Russian army against Ukraine’s youngest citizens. According to confirmed data, 707 Ukrainian children have been killed as a result of combat operations and shelling.
In addition, another 2,548 young Ukrainians suffered severe injuries and were maimed by constant enemy shelling.
The most massive crime remains mass deportation, as the occupiers forcibly removed over 20,000 children from their homes.
“Everything the Russians are doing is genocide. A systematic and clearly planned attempt to destroy the Ukrainian nation. They are deliberately targeting our children, committing war crimes for which there is no justification. They are destroying our history, our memory, and trying to physically kill our future,” stated Kyrylo Budanov.
The Head of the Office of the President separately emphasized that our state will never forgive the Russian Federation for these atrocities and the killings of innocents. He assured that every Russian war criminal will certainly receive just punishment.
This applies both to the highest military and political leadership of the Russian Federation, which issued criminal orders to shell cities, and to the direct perpetrators of these attacks.
