Denmark announces new military aid package for Ukraine worth 1.4 billion kroner
On Tuesday, the Danish government and the relevant parliamentary committee approved a new, 28th military aid package for Ukraine, amounting to more than 1.4 billion kroner. This package includes funding under the so-called "Danish model", which provides for the production of weapons in Ukraine. In addition, Denmark will allocate 370 million kroner for the PURL initiative, which covers the purchase of American weapons, and 80 million kroner for fuel to be purchased through NATO.

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen noted that the new aid package will provide Ukraine with important combat capabilities in the near future. In total, including the latest package, Denmark has allocated about 71 billion kroner to Ukraine since the beginning of 2022. This support is key in the face of ongoing Russian aggression.
The next steps may be to intensify the efforts of other European countries to increase military assistance to Ukraine, in particular, it was previously reported that Germany intends to raise the level of its support to more than 11.5 billion euros.
