Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is requesting that two levels of air raid alerts be lifted
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration has appealed to the government with a proposal to change the alert system in the region. The proposal calls for the elimination of the “red” and “yellow” air raid alert levels for the frontline region.
This was stated by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, during a televised marathon.
“We have already appealed to the government to ensure that the ‘red’ and ‘yellow’ levels do not apply to the Dnipropetrovsk region. We want air raid alerts to remain as they were,” Ganza said.
He explained that it is impossible to monitor and apply the “yellow” and “red” alert levels in the frontline region because shelling occurs there constantly.
“Moreover, Pavlohrad is a frontline area. It is constantly under shelling,” the head of the Regional Military Administration noted.
Over the past 24 hours, 278 combat engagements were recorded along the front line. Russian troops carried out the most assaults in the Pokrovsk direction—Ukrainian defenders repelled 43 enemy attacks.
As of September 16, 2026, the Ukrainian military had eliminated 1,530 Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours. The Russian Federation’s total military losses increased by another 1,530 soldiers.
Since the start of the day on September 15, there have been 219 combat engagements on the front lines. Russian forces launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian troops repelled 38 assaults.
