Drones attacked a petrochemical plant in Bashkortostan, causing a fire
On the morning of September 4, drones attacked a petrochemical plant in Sterlitamak, in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russian Federation). A fire broke out at the plant following the attack.
According to local residents, the fire broke out on the grounds of the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant. Reports of explosions and smoke in the area around the plant also appeared online.
The Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant is one of the city’s industrial facilities. It specializes, in particular, in the production of rubber, ionol, and aviation gasoline.
This is not the first attack on the plant. In November 2025, the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant was already targeted by drones. At that time, the attack caused a fire in the workshop where agidol—an additive for aviation fuel—is produced.
On the night of September 4, explosions were also heard in Sochi, in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. Local residents reported drone attacks, particularly in the Adler area.

The “Rosneft-Kubannefteprodukt” oil depot is located in this area.
Thus, on the night of and morning of September 4, reports of drone attacks and fires came in from several regions of Russia at once.

Earlier, reports emerged from Sochi, Russia, of a drone attack on the seaport. Local residents reported loud explosions in the city center, after which people were urged to evacuate the port area.
On September 3, a man was injured in the Boryspil district of Kyiv Oblast as a result of a Russian attack. It is known that one person was wounded by the enemy strike.
In the Khmelnytskyi region, a warehouse belonging to a local company caught fire after debris from a downed Russian strike drone fell on it. The fire covered an area of 200 square meters, according to Serhiy Tyurin, head of the regional military administration.
Over the past day, 15 private homes were damaged in the Mykolaiv region as a result of attacks by Russian Shahed-type strike drones. A social services building and three cars were also damaged, according to Georgiy Reshetilov, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
