Drones attacked the port in Sochi, and airports restricted operations
Reports have emerged from Sochi, Russia, of a drone attack on the seaport. Local residents reported loud explosions in the city center, after which people were urged to leave the port area.
According to local news outlets, a series of powerful explosions rocked the central part of Sochi.
Citizens were urged to leave the seaport area due to the threat of further attacks.
Subsequently, reports emerged of drones striking the port area. Eyewitnesses posted video footage of the incident on social media.
In response to the drone attack, Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) imposed temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures at the airports in Sochi and Gelendzhik.
As usual, the agency explained the decision by citing the need to “ensure flight safety.”
The restrictions on airport operations may affect flight schedules in the region.
Information regarding the consequences of the attack, the extent of the damage, and possible casualties is still being clarified.

On September 3, a man was injured in the Boryspil District of the Kyiv Oblast as a result of a Russian attack. It is known that one person was wounded by the enemy strike.
In the Khmelnytskyi region, a warehouse at one of the enterprises caught fire after debris from a downed Russian strike drone fell on it. The fire covered an area of 200 square meters, according to Serhiy Tyurin, head of the regional military administration.
Over the past day in the Mykolaiv region, 15 private homes were damaged as a result of attacks by Russian Shahed-type strike drones. A social services building and three cars were also damaged, according to the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Heorhii Reshetilov.
