The State Emergency Service has shown the aftermath of Russia's massive attack on Kyiv
On May 14, the State Emergency Service released footage showing the aftermath of the overnight Russian attack on Kyiv. Damage to residential buildings, fires, and casualties were reported in the capital, while rescue workers evacuated people and worked to clear the debris from the strikes.
“Today, Russia treacherously attacked Kyiv. As a result of the shelling, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in several districts of the city were damaged,” the press service stated.
The State Emergency Service also provided detailed information on the consequences observed in each district. Specifically:
- in the Darnytskyi district, a high-rise residential building was hit, causing structural collapse. Ten people were rescued, and emergency rescue operations are underway to search for victims. At another location, debris fell onto the grounds of a gas station;
- in the Solomyanskyi district, a parked car caught fire;
- In the Holosiivskyi district of the city, debris was found on the roadway;
- In the Svyatoshynskyi district, debris was reported to have fallen onto an open area;
- In the Obolonskyi district, debris was reported to have fallen onto open ground and onto a three-story parking garage and business center. Additionally, at another location, debris damaged an apartment on the 12th floor of a residential building and struck a 25-story unfinished building; there are injuries.
In the Dniprovskyi district, a fire broke out on the roof of a five-story residential building as a result of the attack. One casualty was identified. At another location, a UAV struck a five-story building. Damage to a private residential building was also reported. At another address, the attack caused a fire in several garages and a parked car.



Mayor Vitali Klitschko, in turn, added that as of the morning of May 14, nine people were known to have been injured as a result of the enemy’s massive attack on the capital. The wounded were hospitalized in the city’s medical facilities, and two more people received outpatient care.
