Georgia's only oil refinery is cutting ties with Russian oil due to sanctions – Reuters

Black Sea Petroleum LLC (BSP), which owns an oil refinery in the Georgian port of Kulevi, will switch entirely to processing oil from Kazakhstan and Libya in August–September, ceasing purchases of Russian crude. 

This decision was made after the European Union, as part of its 21st sanctions package, added the refinery to its sanctions list, setting a deadline of January 25, 2027, for phasing out Russian crude.

According to the company, the refinery in Kuleva began processing Kazakhstani crude in early July, and the first shipment of Libyan crude is expected on August 20–30. The corresponding supply agreement with Libya was signed on July 3 and is valid through the end of 2027, with the possibility of further extension.
