Photo: Russia launched its first KAB airstrike on Pavlohrad; two people were killed, and a one-year-old child was among the injured
On July 20, Russian troops launched their first guided airstrike on Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The attack killed two people and injured 13 other civilians.
Children were among the victims. Specifically, 11 people, including a 13-year-old girl, were hospitalized with moderate injuries. Two other civilians will receive outpatient treatment. Medical personnel are also examining a one-year-old girl.
An apartment building was damaged as a result of the enemy strike. Fires broke out in several apartments and the surrounding area, and cars were also damaged.
According to Mykola Lukashuk, chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Russian forces used a modernized guided aerial bomb against Pavlohrad for the first time.
“Pavlohrad had been living under rocket and ‘shahid’ attacks, but had never experienced guided aerial bombs. Now the enemy is modernizing these bombs and using them to strike deeper into the city. Unfortunately, this is a new reality for Pavlohrad,” he noted.
The official urged residents of the region not to ignore air raid sirens and to follow official announcements.

As a reminder, on July 19, Russian troops carried out an airstrike using guided bombs on a residential neighborhood in Zaporizhzhia. Two people were killed in the attack, and at least ten others were injured.
In Zaporizhzhia, rescue workers recovered the body of an 11-year-old girl from the rubble of a building; she had been killed as a result of Russian shelling.
