A man was killed in Kremenchuk as a result of a Russian strike on October 7. Rescuers recovered his body from the rubble of a private home that was destroyed in the attack.

Ukrainian media released footage from the site of the Russian strike on Kremenchuk. In one of the photos, the victim’s mother is sitting next to her son’s body.

The victim’s father, Oleksandr, said he was asleep during the attack. A wall collapsed on him as a result of the explosion.

“I was asleep—who would have thought a missile would hit a private home? The wall fell on me, and that’s how I woke up. The firefighters pulled my son out,” Oleksandr said.

According to him, he and his son were in different parts of the house. Oleksandr was certain that Vitalik had already left for work by the time of the Russian strike.

“The house is divided into two parts: my son was in this part, and I was in the far part. He was supposed to be at work. I thought he had gone to work. I think Vitalik went to work, and then the firefighters saw his arm sticking out,” said the victim’s father.

After the strike, rescue workers conducted a search and recovered the man’s body from under the rubble of a private home.

According to preliminary reports, two people were killed as a result of the Russian strike on Kremenchuk.

Seven more people were injured.

Rescue workers and other emergency services were on the scene of the attack, dealing with the aftermath of the Russian strike and conducting search operations.

This was reported by “Suspilne.”

As a reminder, Russia has significantly increased its use of rocket-powered drones in attacks on Ukraine. While the occupiers used about 350 such drones in June, that number rose to approximately 3,500 in September.

Following a combined Russian attack on Ukrainian cities, emergency rescue operations are ongoing at eight locations. Rescue workers and other services are operating in Kyiv and the surrounding region, as well as in the Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions.

As a result of a massive nighttime attack on the Kyiv region, the bird sanctuary at the well-known “Sadiba Nyushanik” wildlife rehabilitation center was completely destroyed by fire. Birds and a cat inside the building were killed when it was hit.

As a reminder, the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio in Kyiv has once again sustained damage as a result of Russian shelling. Following a massive missile attack, debris from a Russian missile fell onto the studio’s grounds and damaged the film studios.

In Svitlovodsk, Kirovohrad Oblast, part of the city was left without power following a nighttime Russian attack. Emergency services and utility companies are currently working to restore electricity.

In the Kirovohrad region, a high school and a cultural center were damaged by the Russian attack. Seventeen windows were shattered at the science high school, and three more were damaged at the cultural center. As a result, about 100 students will temporarily switch to remote learning starting tomorrow.
